How does it
work?

Participants move through a series of race zones designed specifically for their age group and ability level. Each zone combines movement-based challenges with running or cardio-focused elements that test coordination, endurance, and confidence under challenge.

The course structure mirrors the Flatout race format while scaling distances and workloads appropriately for younger athletes. Every challenge is carefully designed to create a balance between performance, progression, and achievement.

Throughout the event, participants are guided through a structured race environment with clear instructions, supervised zones, and support from the Flatout team.

Built Around Challenge and Achievement

NextGen allows young athletes to put their training to the test in a structured race environment. From the start line to the final zone, participants take on a series of challenges designed to reward effort, focus, and determination.

Every station introduces a new task. Every zone encourages athletes to stay engaged, keep moving, and work through a challenge at their own pace. Along the course, they are supported by the Flatout team, volunteers, and spectators who help create a positive race-day atmosphere.

Completing the course is only part of the experience. For many participants, NextGen is their first experience of a structured fitness competition, providing a clear goal to work towards and the satisfaction of crossing the finish line after earning every step.
